Greatest Song/Album/Guitarist of all time

Was browsing through Wikipedia today and out popped this article call The Rolling Stones Magazine 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time. It was an interesting read, so I researched a bit more and ended up with a new blog posting (I was getting sick of the Cheeky Girls' faces anyway).

The Top 10 songs from the The Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time:

1. Like A Rolling Stone - Bob Dylan
2. Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones
3. Imagine - John Lennon

4. What's Going On - Marvin Gaye

5. Respect - Aretha Franklin

6. Good Vibrations -The Beach Boys

7. Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry

8. Hey Jude - The Beatles

9. Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

10. What'd I say - Ray Charles

It is difficult to rank greatest songs, compared to ranking albums and guitarists. Some may even say "The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)" deserves to be in the Top-500. I agree with most of the songs listed for the Top-10 as I have heard all of them before except for Ray Charles "What'd I say" although I do not think Nirvana deserves a number 9 ranking.

Now albums are easier. Agree with all the Beatles albums listed although I believe Let It Be should be in the Top-10 as well. The Clash's "London Calling" deserves its number eight, and it is a remarkable achievement for a punk band.
